Missing you
It seems that just yesterday I was sitting on your lap playing checkers while you were teaching me the ins and outs of playing. I can remember you tinkering in your garage and grandma was in the house making lunch. It was just a regular afternoon with you guys watching me. I loved laying in the lawn. It was always soft grass. The perfect kind of grass for laying there and watching the cloud formations. Now the house is empty and as I wander around the grass where grandma would turn on the sprinklers and let me run around on the hot summer days. I look at the house and the place where so many memories were made and wonder if the next family that moves in will be able to create just as many memories. I wonder what the house will look like 5 years from now. Will there be kids running around and making memories. Will the kitchen be taken care of and well used just like my grandma used it. I can still smell her chocolate chip cookies and see the love that was used in making those cookies. Grandma and Grandpa I miss you everyday, but I know that you're watching over all of your grandkids and great grandkids.
